Dynamic Range

  • Dynamic range is the range in volume of a clip, measured in dbs.
  • It affects the volume of the audio in our recording.
  • Metering is important because it can show if a clip is too loud or too quiet and how to fix it.
  • Metering can help us when making a film by letting us give certain scenes certain volumes of sound.
  • When the metering runs over the sound becomes very loud and unable to be understood by the listener.
