Film 2

I was really surprised to see all of these genres and sub-genres, Its amazes me how long this stuff has been around for how it has evolved for the years. I feel like I will do action probably the biker sub-genre mostly because it would be easy for me to do since I have a bike and a old go pro I could get shots with. However I think a westerner would be a cool idea just so I could do that basic like standoff shootout close ups, and having old school black and white westerner style. I don't really know any directors I could emulate because I don't I have ever seen a old western movie, which is another reason why I want to do one because I could learn  more about a whole genre that I don't know anything about.

 1. War Conventions-  Armor, cigarettes, common battle field ideas, memories of loved ones, History-  Films of war was created from the declaration of war on Spain, the most common war to be written about was ww2  Notable films- saving private Ryan, the hurt locker, apocalypse now, hack saw ridge, beast of no nation, grave of the fireflies 2. Crime and Gangster Conventions- Urban locations, mean streets, bars or diners, casinos, the ghetto or the slums, flashy cars, the silence rule, America dream History- Date back to the silent era of films, became entertaining in the sound era,  Notable films- pulp fiction, Goodfellas, baby driver, scar face,  3.Drama Conventions- More serious, engaging plot driven films, main attention is on the conflict, focuses a lot on mental or physical conflicts History- In the early years of film dramas were full of over dramatic acting, in more recent times they have more realist acting.
