Dynamic Range

Dynamic range is the range in volume of a clip, measured in dbs. It affects the volume of the audio in our recording. Metering is important because it can show if a clip is too loud or too quiet and how to fix it. Metering can help us when making a film by letting us give certain scenes certain volumes of sound. When the metering runs over the sound becomes very loud and unable to be understood by the listener.

Intent and meaning

  Walk the line film There is no pacing between the video and audio, The tone however is very serious and spontaneous I think the directors intent was to tell a story about how this woman is changing  The impact on the auditions is that change is good for you as a person or politicly  Some of the componence of the soundscape are his footsteps, wilderness, traffic and her voice over 4 The voice over is the loudest His footstep are It makes you feel as though you are there following him The personal context from showing the perspective of the man you showed up first and left the protest last view Social trough the protest talked about in thee beginning Through the protest in the beginning It shows cultural context through the protest and how it is starting to change this woman I personally take influence through that the video can be interrupted in different ways like for instance the man in the beginning could be interrupted as the man that was there first and left first. ...

Finished film project

If I were to do this project over again I would work more on background and props, I feel like my basement was a really bland place to shoot my film. I would also liked to work more on my sound editing and mic setups on my camera. However I feel like some of my edited was pretty good like making it look like the camera was walking on the second to last shot, I feel that even though I filmed and acted by myself I made good with what I had in most shots.
